The fabric we use is 100% cotton canvas and denim. For stains, spot clean with water and a mild detergent, dab lightly. Fabric may be steamed when necessary but be careful steaming around vegetable tanned straps as the steam will darken it in spots.
Please note that milled and vegetable tanned leather are both natural leathers. This means they're prone to tanning in sunlight, picking up dirt and oils from everyday wear and environment, and reflect your personal use. Over time, these leathers will darken and soften. Any stains or imperfections accumulated will even out, adding to the character and patina of the bag.
For all other leathers: If you happen to come across an oil stain, apply cornstarch liberally to the stain and let it sit overnight. In the morning, massage the cornstarch over the stain with your finger to remove excess oils. Repeat till the stain comes out.
Scuff marks and other dyes that come into contact with your leather can be removed with a 50:50 solution of white vinegar and water. Dab on lightly with a sponge and wipe with a paper towel.
Leather conditioners and cleaners may also be used on products.
Please use these tips to your discretion and contact an experienced leather repair for more information on how to care for your products.
